Spent this gorgeous sunny day with Mathias up in Denver and it was
perfect. We packed a lunch bag filled with goodies for the our mini road
trip up. I filled little ziplock baggies full of snacks like cereal,
crackers, chips, grapes, strawberries and watermelon. Then I made us
turkey and cheese sandwiches and brought a protein bar for myself. Once
my jeep was stocked with plenty of drinks and snacks, we hit the road
singing and jamming to our favorite songs. The ride alone was so much
fun, but we had much to enjoy once we arrived in D-town.
Aquarium visit, face painting, lunch outdoors in downtown Denver
and then we finished off the afternoon back down in the Springs with
Coldstone Creamery ice-cream. I got chocolate frozen yogurt with fresh
strawberries and bananas. Mick wanted vanilla frozen yogurt with little
chunks of Reeces Pieces, Twix and rainbow sprinkles. Sooo satisfying on a
hot sunny day. I'd say our day was a success!
