Gorgeous Day #2

Yes, I know, not very original of me to use a repeat title for today's post...but really, I didn't know how else to describe it...it really was another gorgeous day! :-)

The weather was phenomenal...again. Gorgeous (I really could use a thesaurus here) blue skies and bright warm sunshine beamed its heavenly rays on my mom, my son and I. We all decided to take a stroll around the neighborhood again and even managed to play a bit out front afterwards before Mom left to go back to Divide. All in all...a very fun and refreshing day outdoors. Enjoy the pics of our pleasant stroll as well as some videos below!

Gorgeous Day

It's hard to believe it's February here in Colorado considering how dry and warm today has been. Apparently, it's supposed to be in the upper 60's all week...looooving it! The wind makes it a little brisk, but other than that, the weather is so nice. So of course, Mom comes down to visit and takes advantage of being in the sunshine with her grandson all morning. Afterwards, the three of us had lunch at San Chang's where we stuffed our faces with some yummy Korean eats. I'm still full. Mathias ate so well he nearly conked out about 30 minutes ago and will probably be asleep for a good two hours. :) So I'm taking advantage of this quiet time and updating the blog before he gets up.

New Haircut!

Aaah, the first haircut...before you view the slideshow below, take a look at these photos of some random kiddies getting their very first haircut. They all don't seem to be enjoying it too well. Hehe!

My mom and I took Mathias to get his first professional haircut at Great Clips the other day. Boy, was that an experience. He cried and screamed bloody murder as the stylist cut his hair. Mom and I had to hold Mathias down the entire time while the lady snipped away his long locks. She did this all under five minutes! Pretty good I might say so myself, considering she had a screaming child bobbing and weaving his head the entire time. It was quite a nightmare...haha!

So despite the few uneven spots here and there, she did a good job. A little short for my taste, but next time I'll know to request his hair a little longer on top. For now though...Mathias looks so much older and so darn cute! I love it!
