Mother's Day

Just a few pics from today as it was my first Mother's Day. Delicious food, delightful conversation and the exchanging of flowers and cards made this sunny afternoon perfect. Mathias had a great time too...he ate so much! :)

Lisa: I am a mother to the most wonderful, rambunctious, silly little boy who was the sole inspiration for creating this blog. Parenthood is incredible and truly a blessing for those that get the opportunity to raise little monsters, I mean adorable children. A bit about myself... My ex husband and I were together 10 years before our two year seperation and divorce. After much ado, we finally decided to reconcile once and for all. Our little family is whole once again. We have God to thank for this precious reunion and second chance at a family. Thanks to His compassion and forgivness, we are now dedicating our lives to the Lord as best as we can. It isn't easy. It isn't always fun. But it's a journey we have chosen to take and it's humbled us in more ways than you can imagine. We've met a few amazing & some not-so amazing people in the process, but we are thankful for them all as each person has touched our lives immensely. Now I truly know why things happened the way they did. Every moment ultimately led us back to one another. The man of my life never gave up on me no matter how hard I tried to fight it and for that I am eternally grateful. God is so good!

Everything In Our Lives Happen For A Reason

God is good. God is kind. God is always watching over us even at our loneliest of times. Never despair for He is constantly guiding us and nourishing us with His love and compassion. All the trials and tribulations that we encounter in life are meant to mold us into who we are today. We are all human and mistakes are bound to occur, but do not use this as a crutch to go through life. Instead of dwelling on our misfortunes, we should focus on our strengths and toss our weaknesses aside. Move forward with the comfort of knowing God is by our side. A new chapter awaits us all...
